Solar Energy Workshop at Morrisville State College from 10 a.m. to noon in the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC) little theater. The workshop is to help homeowners, farmers and businesses assess the potential costs and benefits of small-scale solar energy projects and to help create more local interest in developing local industries and local jobs for sustainable renewable energy resource development in Madison County. Children's Creative Arts and Education Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Herkimer County BOCES Leatherstocking Room, on Gros Blvd. in Herkimer. Admission to the fair is free. Bountiful Thanksgiving Basket Raffle through the Dance 10 Boosters. The basket of donated items includes a turkey and a cornucopia of various items for Thanksgiving. The basket is valued at $75-100. Tickets are $1 for one, $2 for 3 and $5 for 10 and are currently being sold by all the Dance 10's competition dancers and their families. Tickets are also available at the studio. "Goldfinger" will be playing at Rome's Capitol Theater at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., recreating the original 1965 movie experience with original ticket prices. It will also feature trailers from other Sean Connery as James Bond films. Tickets are the original 1965 admission prices: Adults are 90 cents and children are 50 cents.

"Point Blank" the 1967 neo-noir classic will be shown at the Utica Public Library at 6:30 p.m. A stylized, taut thriller, the film focuses on revenge and greed in the world of organized crime. Lee Marvin plays the stoic, macho "Walker" who is determined to get the money stolen from him during a double-crossing heist. Director John Boorman gives the film a visual style of great impact with his impressive use of expansive widescreen. The film is rated PG and is free to the public. 45th Annual Shopping Stroll and Parade this holiday tradition, presented by the Clinton Chamber of Commerce from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the Village of Clinton, is filled with caroling, horse-drawn carriage rides, roasted chestnuts, hot mulled cider and many more offerings from the merchants of Clinton. The festivities include a tree lighting ceremony, a reading of the poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and the holiday parade. Participants needed for holiday parade The Resource Center for Independent Living is in the early planning stages for the Mohawk Valley's annual holiday parade in downtown Utica. The third annual Wonderland of Lights Holiday parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. RCIL is presenting the holiday parade in conjunction with Christmas on Main Street. The parade will proceed North on Genesee Street to Columbia Street, while Mrs. Claus will continue to the Utica Train Station to meet Santa. Want to participate? There is no fee associated to join in the parade. Schools, clubs, organizations and businesses are encouraged to join. 3rd Annual Gingerbread contest at the Didymus Thomas Library on Main Street in Remsen. The contest is open to individuals in Oneida County and will feature categories that include professional, adult individual, adult group, youth individual kindergarten-5th grade, youth individual 6th-12th grade, youth group, and youth and adult. Entries may feature houses, cottages and churches, or more non-traditional themes with fantasy, whimsical, castle, farmyard, or transportation structures. The deadline for registration is Nov. 24. Applications can be picked up at the Didymus Thomas Library, and Remsen Country Bakery, both on Main Street in Remsen.
